What is this information?:
- Internet cookies, browsing habits, IP address, location data
- Emails, personal messages, social media posts
- These pieces of information all make up our digital footprint
What types of Issues have been created?
- The ethical issue with a company carrying out web data mining practices could be described as corporate as it involves the firm taking specific actions and having dedicated policies in place to collect this data
- On the other hand the governments actions regarding data mining could be described as systemic, as these issue ask questions of legal and political systems
